VHP Celebrates their 10th Anniversary on September 29, 2010. Mr. Jon Bickel with guest, Mrs. Dorothy Noll, were invited to attend the "invitation only" event to mark this monumental achievement. The project is now just short of 10,000 interviews in the archives!
The reception was held in the Great Hall of the Library of Congress. Opening remarks were given by Bob Patrick, Colonel, U.S. Army (Ret.) and Director of the VHP. Additional speakers included Dr. James H. Billington, Librarian of Congress, Former U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel, U.S. Representative Ron Kind, U.S. Senator Richard Lugar, Kathryn Lerch, Educator at Park Tudor School in Indianapolis, IN, Tracy R. Dunlap, National Court Reporters Association, Renaee Allen, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and Brian Mark, Vietnam Veteran.
